How JL Nehru became Prime Minister of India
..... Everything started in early 1946 when the Indian National Congress had to elect a new president. It was an accepted fact that the leader
chosen as Congress president would become the first prime minister of independent India. Three candidates were in the race: Acharya Kripalani,
Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Patel. The working committee of the INC and the pradesh committees had to send their nomination for one of the
three candidates.........

Indian Black Money: The Swindler’s List
ASHISH KHETAN accesses the black list that has been kept away from Indians for two years
It is almost two years since the German Government had passed on the names and bank account details of eighteen Indians who had stashed their alleged ill-gotten wealth in the LGT bank of Liechtenstein, a well-known tax haven nation, 190 km from Munich, Germany.
Germany had officially handed over the list to the Indian Government on 18 March 2009. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee have since said more than once that this list cannot be disclosed to the Indian people. Opposition parties like the BJP and the Left Front have repeatedly said the names must be disclosed. The BJP has been accusing the government of shielding the names of the tax evaders and not doing enough to bring back the crores of rupees stashed away in tax havens.....
The authorities also believe that some of these account holders could be fronts for high profile individuals. One name in particular is being investigated for suspected links with a well-known Indian politician.

5Sep2011 - How Manmohan Singh became the Prime Minister
Sonia Gandhi was all set to become the Prime Minister of India on 22nd May 2004. Her young age dream was soon going to be fulfilled.
She must have been jumping with joy on that day. But, one brave Indian "Dr. Subramaniam Swamy" met the President of that time
"Dr. Abdul Kalam" and explained him about the Citizen ship act of India. According to the act, if someone hasn’t taken birth in India
then one can’t become the Prime Minister of this country. It can only happen if the person’s native country allows the people,
who haven’t taken birth in their country, to be the P.M. of their country.
But, Italy doesn’t have this provision and if you haven’t taken birth in Italy, you can’t be the P.M.
So, the Italian people can’t become the P.M. here too. As Sonia Gandhi is an Italian, she couldn’t fulfill her long time dream....

29Aug2011 - Manmohan Singh, you have made India boring during the last 5 days
Hi Manmohan. India was enjoying itself ever since the General Kapil Dyer instigated police attack on Ram Dev and later instigated the
GOI to arrest Anna Hazare. Of course in the latter case it was realised by you of the extreme wrongfulness of the action taken in
arresting Anna Hazare, and in view of the public support in thousands to him he was released the same day.
You have contributed in a big way to take out excitement of an average Indian's daily life by not trusting General Sibal Dyer in
Anna Hazare case during the last 5-7 days.
We were expecting even greater excitement hoping that you would, like INDIRA GANDHI in 1975, declare an emergency and put most
Indians in prisons.
28Aug2011 - Agnivesh, Is he a 'General Kapil Dyer' spy in Anna Hazare Camp?
New Delhi: On the basis of a sensational video exposed in the media this is being said that Swami Agnivesh has betrayed Anna Hazare during
his battle for Lokpal Bill. Agnivesh has been reportedly seen in a tapped phone conversation with a person, whom he repeatedly called Kapil.
The video is available on You Tube and believed to have recorded a conversation between Agnivesh and someone called 'Kapil' by him.
Agnivesh allegedly called Anna as 'Pagal' when he was caught saying "Kapilji, yeh to pagal ki tarah ho raha hai".
Continuing his statement, Agnivesh also allegedly told Kapil, "You should definitely not concede any more ground, be firm," and also
added, "do this to the government is very bad Even after issuing such a big appeal, if after even Parliament has asked him,
if Anna doesn’t give up his fast…"
Agnivesh, who is believed as a crucial member of Team Anna, was seen advising Anna to call off his (Anna's) fast.
However, the authencity of the video has not been verified.

26Aug2010 - Rahul Gandhi, the Italo-Indian, speaks in Indian Parliament
Rahul says that the Lokpal bill is just not sufficient to fight corruption. Is that why the Lokpal bill is pending for the last more than 40 years? OK I agree it is not sufficient but atleast it can benefit about half the population. And thereafter we can bring in Lokpal Bill-2, just like we have NDA-2. Can you also comment on the KGB memo/letter document that says crores of rupees have been paid to the Nehru Dynasty?
Join Congi if you want steal the Indians
Here is a letter by a reader:-
Poor Reddy of Karnatka. His father, the Chief Minister of Karanatka died in an air crash. He was not promoted as
a successor so he left the Congi and defeated majority of the Congi candidates in the local elections. The Congi at the center has discovered
that he became rich from about 20 crores to 350 crores in 2 years. Had he stayed on in the Congi Manmohan Singh would never have discovered this.
Lesson? Stay on in the Congi if you are a thief, stealer of public money. You will never be 'caught' unless something like CAG does it.
Congratulations ManMohan Singh, Honorary Doctor - 16 August, 2011
Even before a lady began her proposed fast in Bhopal she has been shot dead by Congress
agent I suppose. You have a Mussolini descendant as the super PM, and atleast 3 General Dyers ( General 'Sibal Dyer' + General
'Chidambaram Dyer' + General 'Soni Dyer' ? ) in the central Indian Government. Keep it up,
atleast population of India will come down by your Governments intentions and actions.
I suggest all states should start a "Dehli Chalo" to support your SPM and shoot anyone who opposes their march. You must reume to ever more killings
for Indians are becoming like Egyptians, Syrians and Libyans.

Wikileaks and Indians' Stolen Money Accounts in Swiss Banks
It is quite possible that Wikileaks expose could also cause a similar upheaval in Indian politics and hit some bigwigs.......................
However, they know that even if these names are revealed, it would be tough to get these corrupt people convicted as they are not only powerful and rich but could also hold the strings of law themselves. The entire nation knows the fate of Bofors scandal, where the government and the CBI used all its resources to ensure that the case never came to conclusion and despite clear cut evidence of wrongdoing none of the corrupt could be brought to book...............................But, who will do this. Does the Indian government and politicians have the strength of character and will to change the very rules of the game and put fear into the minds of those, who have been stealing from the people of India.

A stunning exposure on Sonia Gandhi’s secret billions in Swiss banks came, surprisingly, from Switzerland itself, where the world’s corrupt stash away their booty. In its issue of November 19, 1991, Schweizer Illustrierte, the most popular magazine of Switzerland, did an exposé of over a dozen politicians of the third world, including Rajiv Gandhi, who had stashed away their bribe monies in Swiss banks. Schweizer Illustrierte, not a rag, sells some 2,15,000 copies and has a readership of 9,17,000 — almost a sixth of Swiss adult population. Citing the newly opened KGB records, the magazine reported ‘that Sonia Gandhi the widow of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was controlling secret account with 2.5 billion Swiss Francs (equal to $2.2 billion) in her minor son’s name’. The $2.2 billion account must have existed from before June 1988 when Rahul Gandhi attained majority. The loot in today’s rupee value equals almost Rs 10,000 crore.........

China-India War 1962
The most infamous incident is the Nehru-Thimmayya resignation affair. As army chief in 1959, the legendary K S Thimmayya found it impossible to work harmoniously with his defence minister - the irascible Krishna Menon. The differences impinged on matters of grave national security at the time, particularly the China threat. Pushed to the wall, the general tendered his resignation to the PM and was to be joined by his naval and air force peers. But Nehru used all his persuasive powers to force him to withdraw his letter and then proceeded to upbraid him in Parliament the next day...............
It must be noted with sadness that Nehru took the low road in the Thimmayya episode by seeking a tactical political gain.

General KS Thimmayya
Thimayya fell out with Defence Minister V.K. Krishna Menon and resigned. The resignation would have greatly undermined Krishna Menon's prestige and to an extent, Nehru's as well. Nehru persuaded Thimayya to withdraw his resignation - only to censure him severely in Parliament the next day. Someone put it very well - Nehru was vastly over-rated as a statesman; greatly underestimated as a politician. Nehru also persuaded the Chiefs of Navy and Air Force to break ranks with the Army Chief and not resign. Thimayya retired as the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) in March 1961. A terrible two years were in store for the Army and the country. Thimayya died in Nicosia in December 1965 as Commander of the United Nations Forces in Cyprus.........

General Thimmayya's Resignation
The withdrawal of his resignation had its negative effects: Thimayya lost his hold over some of the officers who deified him and could not see him being humiliated.. it forfeited the giving of a jolt to Nehru, who not only seemed to link Thimayya's resignation with a hypothetically "questioning civilian supremacy" (and indirectly, a propensity for attempting a coup) but Nehru got a free run towards brinkmanship, leading to the debacle of 1962. Had Thimayya resigned, it was felt by the observers of the events of that period, the Indian government would have been forced to do some serious thinking about the Chinese threat and done a "course correction."...........
It must be noted with sadness that Nehru took the low road in the Thimmayya episode by seeking a tactical political gain.

Dharma Teja's Shipping Company - Political Corruption
Sooner or later the bubble was bound to burst and it did so not with a whimper but with a bang. Teja's Japanese suppliers discovered, to their dismay that instalments of payments due from him were no longer coming in. They therefore wanted to foreclose the sales of ships.
Others who had accepted these ships as securities for financing Teja were also up in arms. Crews of various Jayanti ships complained that they were not getting their wages.
Investigations showed that Teja's financial empire was a mirage. Through his elaborate scam he had taken the Indian government as well as the Japanese shipyards for a ride. In any case, there was no way the government loan to Teja could be recovered...........

Satyam scandal - the fallout
The disaster that is Satyam has sent shockwaves around the outsourcing world. In short, India's fourth-largest outsourcing services provider inflated the amount of cash it said was on its books by $1bn (£680m); incurred a $253m liability on funds personally arranged by its chairman and founder, Ramalinga Raju; overstated quarterly revenues for the period ending 30 September 2008 by 28% and overstated earnings by $125m. These revelations have led to a crisis of confidence about whether the company will continue, placing question marks over India as a premier destination for outsourcing IT services.
