Jawahar Lal Nehru, Good and Bad. How he drove out Subhash Bose
Jawahar Lal Nehru, a KAUL, was highly educated and sincere in his opposition to the rule of British in India. (Incidently, the India that we inherited from the British in 1947 was really a creation of the British; read the history of India from 1000AD to 1700AD to know the India that existed before; how once state Rajas / Maharajas helped foreigners to obtain a few extra villages / retain control over their misgoverned territory..
There is not much to point your finger at him prior to 1947. However, still, one big incidence is there; how Motilal and his son planned and got rid of Subhash Chandra Bose from the Congress Presidentship. Had Bose been alive in 1947 and had there been obtained public opinion by votes, Subhash Chandra Bose would have won by a very big margin. This is clear from the songs sung publically in praise of SC Bose before the partition of India.
Post 1947
Nehru became prime minister in 1947. He personally remained more or less honest. But his one great weakkness had made India so corrupt that the UN retails at the near bottom of the corrupt nations.
His weakness was that he wanted to be called great. He did not mind weak, corrupt and dishonest ministers / Chief Ministers as long they all praised him. So many corrupt politicians were ruling India after 1947 that even the bureaucrats followed suit and became corrupt. This is the main reason for the present corruption in India as the corrupt practices have been inherited from the initial years of Indian Governance after 1947.
Because of this craze, seeking praise for himself, the Indian Army lost thousands soldiers to China in the year 1962. A non-fighting branch General was appointed to head the 1962 operations against China. He ran back to Delhi from the front in less than 24 hours. (He too was a KAUL).
General Henderson Brooks had conducted an enquiry into the disgusting incident. His enquiry report is still classified as SECRET though more than 45 years have elapsed. This can be because:-
- General BM Kaul may have been directly related to Nehru.
- Nehru had made a statement at an airport in a foreign country that he had ordered the Army to throw out the Chinese.
- This appointment of a non-fighting arm soldier to lead the 1962 operationmay have been done by Krishna Menon to please Nehru against all opposition by the three defence services Chiefs. He was dismissed / resigned to save Nehru's skin.
Why is the Indian Congress Party so afraid of making public this report? Ultimately, one day, it will be announced that the report exists no more as it has been eaten up by ants. Three Cheers for Indian politicians and Senior Goverment servants. Or can we hope that it will soon be published just like the Wikileaks that has exposed American crookedness.
